 Safe Families for  Children

is a movement fueled  by compassion to  keep children safe and families intact. We rely upon  host families, and a network of support, to  open their arms, their hearts, and their  homes. Founded in 2003,  Safe Families for  Children is located in 70 cities  across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and  beyond.

Safe Families create extended family-like supports lor desperate families through a  community of devoted  volunteers who are motivated by faith to keep children safe and keep families intact.

ln many situations, parents or guardians may be incapable of providing a safe and caring environment for their children,  putting them at risk of  abuse and neglect.  ln the  past, extended family or neighbors siepped  in to help families  in crisis by caring for  their children for short periods of  time.

Today, however, rnany  farnilies are soclally isolated, and their extended familyis nonexistent, unavailable, or  unable to help. Surrounding farnilies in crisis with caring, compassionate community
